All new members, regardless of experience, are required to attend three classes and make three particular baskets. There are no exceptions. A kit containing all the supplies needed for these baskets (plus additional baskets) will be provided. Tools are also offered for use in making these 3 baskets. Each class covers techniques commonly used in basket making.

• The cost of the kit is $75.00 which covers all supplies needed for the three classes plus enough reed to make additional baskets.
• An additional $18.50 covers the fee to join the club – $10.00 annual dues and $8.50 for the required badge.
• As in all Sun City West clubs, monitoring is required.

Barb Baldwin (623-500-2724) is in charge of new membership classes. Barb is an excellent teacher and quite delightful. She is extremely organized and has enlisted the aid of many members to help teach these classes, so –

• New Member Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday the first week of the month at 9:00 AM in the Mesa room at the Kuentz Center.
• Classes are limited to 4 participants each month.
• Classes will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday the first week of the month January – May and September – November.
• Classes are not offered in June, July, August and December.
• Due to the number of instructors required, these classes are scheduled in advance by appointment.  Call Barb Baldwin (623-500-2724), or stop by the Basketeers room at the Kuentz Center during regular hours to ask about taking the classes.
